A Real Winner - Rick Macci

Testimonial on Rick Macci by Andy Roddick

Several years ago I had the honor to spend a little time with top tennis trainer Rick Macci, the man who trained tennis giants like Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick, and others. For a child with Dyslexia, the road to functional literacy is typically much harder than for others. When I asked Mr. Macci what makes for a good tennis player, he answered simply but profoundly: "Hitting a million balls." That statement alone is worth gold. Children with dyslexia, as a people group, need more repetition to master a skill. They also need more corrective repetition to unlearn a wrong (reading) habit. Repetition, or exercise exercise exercise, is an inevitable need in any honest Dyslexia remediation approach. And that calls for character: strong character.

That's why I love to share these one-liners which Rick Macci has scattered all over the courts where he trains young children. His students are typically in the same age group as our Dynaread students. Share these concepts with your children. Help them understand them. It will make a difference!

With gratefulness to Rick Macci for allowing us to use these one-liners, and always here to help,

quote-sign My son recently graduated from the Dynaread program. The reason I so highly recommend Dynaread, in short, is because I went from a son who struggled to read a sentence unless it was something he had memorized, to someone who turned to me after graduation and said "Mama, I am proud that I can read". What more could you ask?

quote-sign Dynaread respected my child. With the help of Dynaread he is now standing tall, he is confident, and he can read just like his friends.

quote-sign I just wanted to let you know that Aiden is loving the Dynaread program and enthusiastically works at it two times a day. He is proud of his progress and finds the topics interesting. We are currently using it exclusively as his language program and supplementing it with additional cursive work using the readers as the written text.
