Free App — The ClaroRead Chrome Extension is Free for Chromebook and Google Chrome Browser. The Android App is also available free of charge in Google Play.

ClaroRead for Windows or Mac supports reading and writing. ClaroRead is a simple, easy-to-use and flexible software program that helps you to read, write, study, sit exams, and increase your confidence. You can read any on-screen text out loud and improve your writing in Microsoft Word, or use a version of it inside the Chrome Browser. ClaroRead Plus and Pro also let you read aloud scanned paper books and documents.

DYNAREAD only tested the software briefly, but we did consider it useful to e.g. augment an older student's ability to work with computer-presented lesson material through Text to Speech.

The best long-term solution is obviously not Assistive Technology (A), but in the process of working towards becoming a functional reader, AT does help!
